On Roadhog you're missing way too many hooks, or maybe going for too many reckless hooks and lacking trigger discipline. It doesn't feel like you're ever really aware of what's happening with the rest of your team when you engage, and while that's obviously hard to do on solo queue ladder, it's an important skill. Also (b) make sure you're staying in Ana LOS when you engage, and in general try to play for engagement zones in areas of the map that your team can follow up on your pressure. On Winston, (a) try to not have to use your jump to engage if you can avoid it, or just in general try to path more effectively prior to engaging so you're less likely to get slammed the moment you hit the ground. If the enemy team had been on anything more heavy on the CC or upfront damage output, you would have most likely been abused WAY harder on Ball. You always rolled straight into the enemy team, and on several occasions took big chunks of unnecessary damage because of it, while also failing to redirect enemy attention away from your team.

You NEED to engage from behind or the sides as Ball to actually get any value. It made it way easier for the enemy team to engage onto your team.Īs Ball, you also just rolled through main. While it's presumably because you were afraid of the dive, you'd get dramatically higher value even just looking for slight off-angles away from your team instead of hard stacking.

Really appreciate your insight - thanks once again! Would it have been appropriate to play sig on the right side of point while my team engages main? Or was playing closer to my team the right move when I'm "main-tanking" per say and they have dive. Question: I know that I'm supposed to off angle as sig normally, but I don't normally take that approach when playing with a ball or hog (as much). Stop engaging too early (ball / second flux) Scouting and setting up pre-fight to save cooldowns and have better engage positions from safety I need to take the time to actually learn ball and his tech I definitely play ball the least so I was hesistant to start off on him and also why I wasn't setting up as much because I don't play him a whole lot.Ĭooldown usage, esp in the sig v dive matchup I have a quick question at the end of this comment.įew points to clarify beforehand - I'm a hog zarya player but the other tank was a hog OTP so I was trying to play around him. I honestly agreed with just about everything you said. Hi - thank you so much for taking the time to review my gameplay.
